On warm days, the sandy beach of Lemmer is an attractive destination and also the largest in the wider area. The beach is adjacent to a spacious parking lot, but on the busiest beach days it is wise to arrive early to get a free parking spot.

This beach is located near the center of Lemmer on the bay of the IJsselmeer. It is relatively shallow along the edges of the water, so children can play safely here. Playground equipment is available for their entertainment, and the water quality has been rated excellent for years.
